This position is a working Metal Trades position assuring the continuity and quality of all jobs assigned to the hydrostatic testing, ship preparation and cutting/cleaning fabrication areas in the shop.
Position Responsibilities- Working with Project Foremen, oversee the job flow through testing, shipping and cutting/cleaning operations.
- Ensure quality and delivery expectations are being met.
- Train and lead other employee’s working in the testing, shipping, cutting/cleaning operations to safely and efficiently perform tasks and operation of tools and equipment.
- Operate cutting, threading, grooving equipment in the pipe and vessel shop.
- Grinding, cleaning and staging of incoming job material.
- Blast and paint.
- Prepare vessels and pipe spools for shipping.
- The operation and swamping of all cranes, forklift trucks and all other shop handling equipment.
- Operate company vehicles.
- Follow and communicate company safety policies.
- Maintain and promote teamwork.
- Learn, encourage, teach and support Lean initiatives and concepts.
- Lead, maintain and perform weekly 6S audit of assigned work area.
- General maintenance and preventative maintenance of cutting, testing and cleaning equipment.
- Support and maintain a safe and Lean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated ability to operate and teach other employees the safe operation of tools, equipment and material handling practices.

- Work at elevated heights, confined spaces and in a fabrication shop environment.
- Willing to participate in additional training as needed for future knowledge and growth.
