Milking System Liner Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Remove used lines from the shell.
• Wash shells, load liners, clean and wash misc. equipment.
• Inspect shells to make sure they meet quality standards.
• Re-package hygiene products, including cleaning and preparing containers returned from customers.
• Maintain and clean the work area.
• Organize the week’s route schedule.
• Prep liners at shop – pull liners into shells for the proper dairy.
• Load truck and travel to the dairy.
• Keep track of each dairy’s cow numbers and down time and days till the next liner change.
• Leave pre‑printed card with return date to the farm.
• Return used liners to the shop for disposal.
• Change milking hose as requested or scheduled with the dairy.
• Keep the hose sizes and lengths on record for each farm.
• Write up an invoice for each farm stop.
• Keep track of inventory and what needs to be ordered.
• Work with the Warehouse Manager to keep the correct amount of inventory in stock.
• Inspect air tubes and pulsator hose and change accordingly.
• Follow all company safety and procedures protocols.
• Record weekly schedule at the office.
• Work in a professional manner with all customers and co‑workers.
• Perform other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.

High School Diploma

Understanding of the Dairy or Agriculture Industry preferred.

• Ability to organize day and get necessary work completed.
• Quality focused
• Able to work with general tools – work includes cutting rubber, putting together milking shells and liners.
• Be able to meet customer expectations.
• Able to work under pressure at times.
• Ability to work as a positive member of the MLS team fostering quality working relationships with other MLS team members.

Ability to lift, handle and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
