Position: Inside Sales Specialist (Kaukauna, WI)

Join the Inside Sales Specialist role where you will handle incoming inquiries, develop new business, and manage assigned external customers. The position serves as a foundation for future external Sales Representative opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow Ahlstrom’s manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies to meet safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prospect new customers and handle incoming telephone and internet inquiries.
  • Define potential customer’s business, organizational structure, and key decision-makers.
  • Identify customer needs and technical/service requirements; quantify historic consumption and forecast future demand.
  • Develop and implement plans to achieve objectives at target accounts in attractive market segments.
  • Evaluate customer satisfaction and define the degree of satisfaction with Ahlstrom’s products.
  • Identify competitive offerings, document pricing and services, and define gaps to close them.
  • Justify assignment of potential accounts to external sales representatives.
  • Develop understanding of product features/benefits, value propositions, and business capabilities.
  • Coordinate all aspects of customer relationships (pricing, quotes, customer setup, claims/complaint, forecasting).
  • Develop understanding of sales and marketing functions.
  • Utilize and maintain customer information in the CRM system.
  • Provide timely responses to prospects and customers.
  • Act as an internal liaison for intercompany sales as needed.
  • Travel may be necessary; a valid driver’s license required.
  • Other assignments as directed by management.

Experience and

Education requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (highly preferred but not required).
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in paper manufacturing or converting industry preferred.
  • Effective communication with internal stakeholders, suppliers, carriers, and customers.
  • Experience using CRM system preferred.
  • Fluent written and spoken English with strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Highly organized and logical; adaptable to changing business needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced team environment.
  • Ability to handle pressure situations and meet customer demands.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to travel; valid driver’s license and passport required.
  • Ability to work additional hours, weekends, or outside regular hours if required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
