Diesel Technician – Truck Country

We’re looking for a skilled Diesel Technician to join our shop and help keep medium‑ and heavy‑duty trucks on the road. The role involves preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks, using advanced diagnostic tools and company‑provided laptops to document findings and repairs.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on medium‑ and heavy‑duty trucks.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot engine and system issues.
• Accurately document findings and repairs using company‑provided laptops and software.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a team‑oriented shop environment.
• Engage in ongoing training and development to stay up to date with the latest repair techniques and technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Experience working with medium‑ or heavy‑duty trucks.
• Basic computer skills, including diagnostic software.
• Proficiency with power and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a clean, organized workspace.
• Excellent communication skills for documenting and relaying repair findings.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3‑4 years of experience as a Diesel Technician, especially with Class 8 vehicles.
• Certifications for Detroit or Cummins engines (priority hiring for certified candidates).
• CDL License (preferred but not required).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Experience with engine overhauls is a plus.
