Tumbling Instructor

Overview

Join City of Kaukauna as a Tumbling Instructor to teach beginner to intermediate/advanced tumbling classes. The role involves designing high-quality programming, planning and creating a fun learning environment, maximizing class participation and enhancing participant retention.

Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-7:30 p.m.

• Conduct gymnastics/tumbling instruction to students of various skill levels using provided lesson plans.
• Instruct students on proper techniques, form and safety guidelines.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Provide feedback to students to improve skills.
• Implement behavior management strategies to ensure a productive class environment.
• Provide verbal and visual instruction on proper body mechanics.
• Modify specific techniques to accommodate various skill levels.
• Ensure maximum participation by encouraging movement and providing individual guidance.
• Prepare studio/classroom and maintain cleanliness of facilities/equipment.
• Communicate with participants and parents and maintain good relationships with staff and public.
• Maintain safety measures for participants.
• Report any equipment or facility issues immediately to management.

• 1+ years experience leading tumbling or gymnastics classes.
• Previous experience teaching tumbling/gymnastics techniques preferred.
• Experience in program design preferred.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to run, stoop, kneel, climb, bend, lift, push and pull up to 20 pounds using proper body mechanics.
• Ability to sustain prolonged visual concentration.
• Ability to stand/sit for prolonged periods.

$20.00 per hour

Recreational indoor environment. Noise level may vary depending on class type.
