About Us

Monarch Bible Camp is a mobile camp operating in the Kawartha Lakes/Haliburton
Highlands area. We are a mobile ministry, running camps in smaller communities
so children can enjoy camp close to home. We usually run 6 weeks of Day Camps
(evenings and weekends free) and 1 week of Resident Camp. We work with
children and youth ages 6 to 14.

The Director of Discipleship plays a key role in fulfilling the mission of One Hope
Canada at our camp by fostering spiritual growth and connection. This position is
all about relationships—building meaningful connections with campers, mentoring
summer staff, and investing in the lives of children and youth both during the
summer and throughout the year. Working closely with the Ministry Director and
Ontario Field Director, the Director of Discipleship helps lead the camp’s summer
missionary team and ensures that every camper encounters the hope of the
Gospel in a personal and engaging way.

• Build authentic, Christ-centered relationships with campers, staff, and
  youth in the local community.
• Lead and support spiritual programming at camp, including devotions,
  Bible studies, and one-on-one mentoring.
• Assist the Ministry Director in training, encouraging, and leading summer
  missionaries.
• Provide year-round discipleship opportunities through follow-up programs,
  events, and outreach.
• Work collaboratively with the Ministry Director and Ontario Field Director
  to align with One Hope Canada’s mission and values.
• Model a growing relationship with Jesus in all areas of leadership and
  service.

• A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a heart for sharing
  the Gospel with children and youth.
• Strong leadership and relational skills, with a passion for mentoring and
  discipleship.
• Experience in youth ministry, camp ministry, or a similar setting is
  preferred.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
