The Welder is responsible for adding value in the process flow by accurately assembling various components and/or sub-assemblies into specified fixturing and joining by welding or repairing defective welds.
Qualifications- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Essential Functions:

- Maintenance of a clean and organized workspace and Plant proper.
- Picking and placing components or subassemblies into proper fixturing and joining by the application of GMAW (Gas-Metal-Arc Welding).
- Exercising product and process knowledge to identify out-of-conformance situations and alert supervisor or Quality Auditor of these situations in a timely manner.
- Rotation of position into different production teams as is necessary to meet production schedules and Company goals in general.
- Maintenance of good housekeeping practices always.
- Ability to set up welding equipment including changing gas.

This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Physical DemandsWhile performing duties of the job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active - the team member is regularly standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The work environment may include moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and conveyer roller lines, and may involve outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate to loud. Personal protective equipment such as work gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, cut resistant sleeves, and seasonal gear will be provided (contingent on position). Additional items may be required, such as steel-toed shoes or boots with metatarsal guards.
Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly position, typically Monday – Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am.
TravelThere is no travel with this position.
