  • Critical Care Float Pool – 90% FTE (Permanent/Part-Time, min 6 months of both ICU & ER experience required)
  • Emergency Services – 90% FTE (Permanent/Part-Time, min 6 months ER experience required)
  • Intensive Care Unit – 90% FTE (Permanent/Part-Time, min 6 months ICU experience required)
  • OB – 90% FTE (Permanent/Part-Time, min 6 months OB experience required)
  • Recovery Room Services – 100% FTE (Permanent/Full-Time, min 1 year Critical Care experience required)

JOB TITLE: REGISTERED PROFESSIONAL NURSE III

JOB LOCATION: KONA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL
SALARY RANGE: *$8,937 PER MONTH at 100% FTE (SR-20, Step B; BU:09)

JOB DUTIES:
The Registered Professional Nurse coordinates nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with other staff and departments in maintaining standards of nursing care. This position may be required to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SHIFTS AS NECESSARY BASED ON HOSPITAL OPERATIONS; SERVICES ARE PROVIDED 24/7.

THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ARE:
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements. Please note that unless specifically indicated; the required education and experiences may not be gained concurrently. In addition, qualifying work experiences are based on a 40-hour work week.


Education
:
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. While not required, graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is highly desirable.


Experience
:
One-half (1/2) year of professional nursing work experience.


Substitutions Allowed
:
Possession of a master’s degree from an accredited college or university school of nursing may be substituted for one year of nursing experience.


Certification
:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Health Care Worker required at the time of appointment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within six (6) months of employment.


Licensure
:
Possession of a current license to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Hawaii.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. and at the time of appointment intend to reside in the State of Hawaii during the course of employment with the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.
