JOB LOCATION: KONA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL – IMAGING

SALARY RANGE: $8,937/month (SR-20; BU:09)

JOB DUTIES
:

The Diagnostic Imaging Services Unit manages and provides a variety of medical imaging services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. These imaging services include computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine, radiology, and ultrasound.

The primary purpose of this position is to administer individualized, professional patient care to Diagnostic Imaging Services patients. This position provides nursing care in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures of Kona Community Hospital, the State of Hawaii Nurse Practice Act and the Code for Nursing; maintains the standards of nursing care as established. Incumbent of this position may be required to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SHIFTS AS NECESSARY BASED ON HOSPITAL OPERATIONS; SERVICES ARE PROVIDED 24/7.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ARE
:
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements. Please note that unless specifically indicated; the required education and experiences may not be gained concurrently. In addition, qualifying work experiences are based on a 40-hour work week.

EDUCATION:
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. While not required, graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on critical care nursing and/or administration is highly desirable.

EXPERIENCE:
One-half (½) year of professional nursing work experience. ICU, CCU and/or experience in interventional radiology and/or cardiology nursing in the catheterization laboratory environment preferred.

CERTIFICATION
:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Health Care Worker and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required at the time of appointment.

LICENSE
:
Possession of a current license to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Hawaii.

Required Forms & Documentation:

Evidence of the appropriate training (e.g., official transcript or degree) to be given credit for education and/or experience. A legible photocopy will be accepted; however, Kona Community Hospital reserves the right to request an official copy.
