Bilingual, Customer Service Rep
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) provides the first point of contact for all customers visiting the bank in‑person and by telephone. The primary goal of the CSR is to ensure an outstanding customer experience with each customer visit. The successful candidate will achieve this goal by utilizing effective listening and communication skills, maintaining a current working knowledge of all products and services offered by the bank, efficiently processing listed responsibilities, effectively identifying customer needs, and referring customers to specialized areas of the bank when necessary.
As the first point of contact, CSR’s often provide the first impression of the bank and are expected to maintain a professional conduct and appearance at all times.
- Process transactions per bank procedures, including checking and savings deposits, check cashing, savings withdrawals, processing loan payments, cashier’s checks, money orders, and convenience cards. Assist with night depository, vault duties, and scanning as assigned.
- Maintain accuracy of transactions and verify accuracy by balancing the cash drawer daily.
- Identify fraudulent activity to help prevent potential loss for the bank.
- Maintain logs and records related to responsibilities with accuracy and accountability.
- Maintain a well‑developed and current working knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered by the bank.
- Maintain a well‑developed and current knowledge of all regulatory requirements related to job responsibilities.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic math skills and strong customer service.
- Cash handling experience/previous CSR/Teller experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer relation skills required.
- Excellent keyboarding, calculator, and personal computer skills required.
- Organizational skills and the ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a professional manner.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- High level of accuracy with attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
This is a full‑time position in Kearney, NE.
