Description:
We are looking for an Obstetrician Gynecologist to provide inpatient coverage for gaps.
Providers should be comfortable with all OB/Gyn procedures.
Responsibilities include daily rounding on all patients admitted to the service as well as any consult received during the assignment.
Availability for on-call coverage is required.
Services are provided on an OB/GYN basis 24/7.Coverage is needed for specific dates, 7 a.m. to 7 a.m.Duties include being on-call to the emergency department for precipitous deliveries, both vaginal and c-section.
The role also involves gynecology call to the emergency department, with consultation and treatment as needed.
Required procedures involve the diagnosis and management of conditions occurring during pregnancy through postpartum.
Involvement in major and minor abdominal and vaginal surgical procedures upon the female pelvis and related structures is expected.
Electronic medical record system used is Epic.
Support staff will be provided for inpatient coverage only.
The need for coverage arises from gaps in existing provider availability.
Patient volume is anticipated to be 1-5 patients per day.
The orientation schedule will be provided closer to the coverage date.
