Under direct supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer I is an entry‑level role that assists with designing, implementing, and reviewing manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment. The position supports the manufacture and assembly of new and existing Parker products, typically within a single facility. Responsibilities include developing improved manufacturing techniques, testing new systems for efficiency, and planning assembly layouts to optimize production, quality, cost, and safety.

• Manufacturing Process Flow – Assist in planning and designing manufacturing processes to improve the manufacture and assembly of new and existing products, determining equipment and tooling needed to achieve goals according to product and quality specifications.
• Process Improvement – Assist in developing and implementing process improvement projects focused on manufacturing efficiency, material yield, safety, and cost.
• Engineering Design Support – Provide input to senior engineers regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
• Regulatory Compliance – Help ensure basic processes and procedures comply with regulations, applying technical standards, principles, theories, and techniques.
• Remediation – Investigate and recommend corrective actions to ensure product quality and resolve quality issues.

• Bachelor's Degree in a related Engineering field with 0–2 years of experience
• Knowledge and ability to apply core concepts of engineering
• Ability to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving of basic to moderate scope and complexity
• Effectively apply continuous improvement methods to quality and manufacturing functions (e.g., pull systems, process mapping, JIT)
• Knowledge of data structures and database programming
• Ability to work effectively with CAD/CAM systems or other computer‑aided manufacturing systems, and standard business application software and/or specialized data analysis tools
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve problems
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to research and analyze data effectively and draw valid conclusions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Well‑organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multi‑task
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web browsers
