Supplier QA Technician III – 1st Shift (Parker Hannifin)
Responsibilities- Hand assembles and/or monitors machine assembly of filters and components as outlined in the Process Instructions; works at multiple workstations.
- Operates and monitors assembly line machines; refers issues to supervision.
- Performs minor assembly line set‑up duties in preparation for production operations.
- Obtains inspection report approval from department supervision.
- Ensures meeting established unit production standards.
- Inspects all work, ensuring defective product is not processed; reports problems promptly.
- Conducts on‑the‑job training for other employees as assigned.
- Completes paperwork such as quality records, scrap reports, and machine logs; reports production via the computer system.
- Makes the work area clean, orderly, and free of obstructions.
- Observes safety rules at all times; reports unsafe conditions.
- Maintains quality and safety standards and complies with all company procedures and policies.
- Supports the Quality Assurance team; provides reports communicating outcomes of quality activities.
- Inspects and audits components and finished goods from receiving through manufacturing.
- Monitors non‑conforming parts for proper disposition and control.
- Enters quality data into relevant databases and provides quality reports.
- Assists with data collection for dimensional layouts, capability studies, customer notifications and PPAP submissions.
- Supports production lines and other groups; provides reports against standards and specifications.
- Acts as a technical resource for production groups regarding product characteristics and quality requirements.
- Investigates quality issues to ensure resolution.
- Liaises between manufacturing and support departments to resolve quality issues.
- Provides training on quality standards and procedures.
- Manages quality assurance activities as assigned.
- MRB: verifies, identifies, contains, and disposes of non‑conforming product.
- Corrective Actions: verifies, issues, and monitors corrective action requests.
- Document Control: handles document creation, approval, publishing, review, archiving, disposal, and storage.
- Calibration: maintains calibration procedures, performs and/or arranges for calibrations, uses gauge software, and performs R&R studies.
- Other responsibilities include:
- Adhering to all organizational policies, procedures, standards, and practices.
- Keeping work area neat, clean, organized, and under control.
- Working in a team environment and rotating jobs as needed.
- Mindful of improving methods and processes; implementing new ideas with supervisor approval.
- Performing other duties consistent with skills and experience as directed by supervisor/manager.
- High School diploma or GED required; five years in a manufacturing environment with at least three years in quality assurance or equivalent. Experience in corrective actions and problem solving; completed AIAG Core Tools training (APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP).
- Preferred:
Associate degree in business administration, manufacturing technology, or related courses; five years’ experience in manufacturing with at least three years in quality assurance. - Proficiency with personal computers and software (Microsoft Office, Windows, statistical software, data analysis).
- Proficiency with basic measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, digital indicators).
- Ability to handle and transport parts and materials weighing up to approximately 35 pounds.
- Hourly pay range: $23.80 – $27.95.
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program.
