Associated Staffing is hiring a Mechanical Technician in Kearney, NE! This position offers a 4-day workweek, competitive pay and opportunities to develop valuable mechanical and equipment assembly skills. In this hands‑on role, you'll help build and assemble grain drying equipment from the ground up, installing mechanical components and ensuring equipment operates properly. Mechanical or maintenance experience is preferred, but we're willing to train dependable individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, a stable work history and a willingness to learn.

• Assemble grain drying equipment using blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Install motors, fans, belts, drives and other mechanical components.
• Operate hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks.
• Inspect, test and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues during assembly.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Follow established safety and quality procedures.
• Work independently and collaboratively to meet production goals.

• Previous mechanical, maintenance or equipment assembly experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or mechanical drawings.
• Experience with agricultural or industrial equipment is a plus.
• Forklift experience preferred; must be able to obtain forklift qualification.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality and a consistent work history.
• Ability to follow instructions, learn new processes and retain training.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Monday Thursday, 6:30 AM 5:00 PM. Three-day weekends under the regular schedule. Friday or weekend overtime may be required based on production needs.
