Experience

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Step Down Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

Requirements

• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

• Will not approve blocked scheduling unless its weekends only, but can ask. Will not take a duo who needs to share care or needs same schedule.

Rotating with perm staff

Floating Requirements:
Yes to Med Surg or to ICU to take PCU acuity patients

Beds: 40 beds with average daily census of 24

Common diagnoses/Types of patients:
Adults, Cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, adult respiratory, stroke, post stent, post pacer placement, renal failure

Are RNs required to titrate drips?:
Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips:
Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulin

RNs must read and interpret

RN’s - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated

Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with Common Spirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 12/25/2025, 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 12 months (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission

Driver’s license required for submission
