Job Summary And ResponsibilitiesOur dynamic Endoscopy team at CHI Health Good Samaritan seeks a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for PRN/On-Call positions. This role offers flexible, PRN work with opportunities to expand your skills while providing excellent patient care in a fast‑paced and rewarding environment.
What You'll Do- Assess patients pre‑procedure, including reviewing medical history, medications, and allergies.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including IV insertion and patient education.
- Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Provide post‑procedure care, including monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and providing discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
- Respond to emergency situations as needed.
- RN license required.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
- ACLS within 5 months required.
Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268‑bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. It offers advanced trauma services, Air Care emergency helicopter transport, a Level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, an advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient/outpatient mental health services at the free‑standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
