Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee
Join Safelite as an Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee and build a fulfilling career in auto glass repair, replacement, and recalibration. You’ll receive hands‑on training, classroom instruction, and the Safelite Safe Tech certification, giving you the skills to work independently and deliver the highest quality service.
Responsibilities- Learn and apply the Safelite way through apprenticeships, including installing and repairing auto glass.
- Recalibrate automotive safety systems and complete diagnostic testing.
- Assist with additional services and products.
- Study for and pass exams to become a Safelite‑certified technician.
- Safely operate company vehicles, tools, and chemicals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with all company policies.
- Competitive weekly pay: $19.25/hr during training, $22.75/hr after certification.
- Earn $5 per set of wiper blades used for customer safety.

- Option to purchase or sell additional PTO up to 16 hours.
- Up to $5,250 annual tuition reimbursement.
- Paid training and all necessary tools and resources.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred).
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Stand for extended periods; work in tight spaces.
- Use various hand and power tools safely.
- Operate a motor vehicle safely; monitored via in‑cab video surveillance.
- Exhibit professionalism and passion for customer service.
- Work outside in varying weather conditions.
- Handle chemicals safely.
- Show flexibility in scheduling.
- Use diagnostic tools for recalibrations and troubleshooting.
- Problem‑solve independently and collaboratively.
- Read, write, and interpret English technical directions.
- Communicate orally and in writing.
- Maintain professional appearance per dress code and PPE policies.
- Stay stable under professional or personal pressure.
