Job Summary

The Propane Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of bulk propane to an established customer base. Drivers will assist with other routes and within the plant and dock as needed. Drivers are responsible for completing all assigned duties in accordance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.

Primary

Job Duties
  • Adhere to the company's Vision and Core Values.
  • Adhere and comply with the company's handbook and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by delivering bulk propane to customers.
  • Prospect and grow customer base by identifying new opportunities in surrounding communities.
  • Prepare delivery tickets and complete paperwork for processing.
  • Complete propane system hookups and gas tests as needed.
  • Provide parts support and perform propane equipment diagnostics.
  • Assist dock customers and process orders.
  • Assist and fill in on other routes and provide support within the plant as needed.
  • Observe and adhere to safety and security procedures.
  • Deliver and assist with other propane and petroleum products as needed.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities according to established safety rules and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Qualifications/Preference Education
  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
  • 2 years related experience and training preferred.
Certificate, Licenses, Registrations
  • Class A/B CDL required
  • Hazmat Endorsement required.
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
  • Ability to read, write and understand English required.
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities and work with tight deadlines while exercising attention to detail.
  • General math skills required; addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
  • Excellent customer service skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience using computers, including email, electronic log books, and other applications preferred.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • Perform job duties on-site at the company assigned.
  • Specific vision abilities for this job include close, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus required.
