Job Summary:

The Switchboard Engineer I is responsible for Designing Low Voltage Switchboards and Panel boards. This role requires great attention to detail with a preference for self-starting mentality. All products must be designed using applicable safety standards & regulations (National Electric Code, Underwriters, Laboratories, etc.)

Job Responsibilities:

• Design 3D sheet metal parts with flat patterns
• Create and understand 2D Front View, One-Line/Single-Line and Layout drawings using CAD Software
• Ensure clear communication between Engineering, Manufacturing and other key stakeholders.
• Work in a team environment to analyze requirements from clients and develop design solutions
• Ensure clear communication with suppliers/vendors on an as-needed basis

Qualifications /

Experience:

• Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar
• 0 - 2 years of professional experience (Electro-Mechanical industry preferred)
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (Autodesk Suite preferred)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with UL891, UL67, UL508A or UL1558
• Experience reading/understanding National Electric Code
• Experience sizing conductors and OCPDs
• Experience with Control Circuits and Logic
