Job SummaryReporting to the Director of Hauling, the Operations Site Manager will manage assigned depots and facilities, oversee staff, maintain safety and compliance, and drive productivity and financial performance.
Essential Job Functions- Manage the day‑to‑day operations of depot(s) and provide daily support to Operations managers and supervisors.
- Monitor budget and operating metrics, diagnose and improve processes and performance.
- Execute necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with company, OSHA, and other regulations.
- Ensure thorough root‑cause investigations for all injuries and incidents, with consistent discipline and retraining.
- Oversee personnel needs, selecting, coaching, disciplining, training employees, and evaluating employee performance.
- Formulate short‑ and long‑term goals and action plans in conjunction with Site Manager(s) and Director of Operations.
- Participate in regular P&L reviews to ensure budgets are met; develop and implement programs for equipment utilisation, maintenance, and cost control.
- Interact with local city, municipal, and county agencies to ensure customer satisfaction, improve efficiency, renew contracts, and negotiate new contracts.
- 5+ years supervisory/team‑management experience with direct and indirect reports.
- Associate’s Degree (or equivalent); alternatively High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant work experience.
- 3 years in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations, including coaching, routing assessments, and leading employees.
- Experience implementing safety (OSHA) programs, managing budgets, and resolving labor‑relations issues.
Experience leading operations with a focus on customer service, community relations, health and safety, finance, and human resources. Proven ability to implement safety programs, manage budgets, and resolve labor relations issues.
