Incumbent is responsible for transporting and delivering freight to franchise stores and/or production kitchens safely, legally and on‑time. This position requires working in environments with variation in temperature and humidity (e.g., dry, cooler and freezer areas of the trailer, along with changing outdoor weather conditions).

Incumbent is responsible for transporting and delivering freight to franchise stores and/or production kitchens safely, legally and on‑time. This position requires working in environments with variation in temperature and humidity (e.g., dry, cooler and freezer areas of the trailer, along with changing outdoor weather conditions).
Responsibilities- Operate a tractor‑trailer truck that transports product to and from specified destinations.
- Conduct a proper pre‑trip inspection to ensure the vehicle is safe to operate.
- Ensure delivery‑related paperwork is in order before departing the Distribution Center or transportation hub.
- Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery of products.
- Unload cargo and deliver via a two‑wheeler hand truck and/or pallet jack in a safe manner into store locations.
- Scan all product labels during store deliveries, and report all orders with shorts or damages.
- Maintain proper logs of travel and product according to Federal, State and DOT regulations.
- Maintain contact with NDCP's Member Services team to communicate any problems or delays with deliveries.
- Ensure the cleanliness and presentation of the interior of the truck cab, and remove delivery‑related trash at the store and production kitchen.
- Conduct a proper post‑trip inspection to ensure equipment is in good working order to minimize delays the following day, and report any vehicle maintenance or malfunction issues to the distribution center.
- Serve as the face of NDCP and the main point of contact between the distribution center and the customer.
- Train and leverage a Delivery Assistant, as applicable, to ensure the accurate, timely and efficient delivery of product to customers and to assist in safe maneuvering of the truck entering, exiting and parking at delivery locations.
No direct supervisory responsibilities but may direct a Delivery Assistant assigned to the route.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record; 6‑month driving experience minimum, 1 year desired.
- Possess a current DOT Medical Certification Card and successfully pass DOT pre‑employment requirements.
- Ability to repetitively lift, tug, pull 50 lbs+ and operate a hand truck and/or hand pallet jack to deliver product to stores over multiple stops per shift.
- Dependable attendance and a great customer service attitude.
- IF APPLICABLE – Ability to operate a 10‑speed manual transmission.
- Ability to operate a lift gate and refrigeration unit.
- Must be able to read and communicate in English – able to hold a conversation, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and enter information on reports and records.
