Process Technician

Purpose of Position

The Process Technician will support engineering activities for transition to manufacturing and administration of documentation control.

• Create methods of manufacturing for top level assemblies and subassemblies, assembly related fixtures, and experiments.
• Create part masters for parts and assemblies.
• Day-to-day administration of document control and configuration management, including approval of documents into the document management system, creating program folders, adding and removing users, assisting users, and documenting and maintaining the process.

Possible occasional travel to other Corning sites (less than 2 times per year).

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in documentation control required.
• Experience with documentation management software desired (Synergis Adept preferred).
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems desired (Epicor or SAP preferred).
• Experience handling and securing Unclassified Controlled Information (CUI); ITAR experience desired.

• Organized, meticulous attention to detail, self‑starter, and motivated.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).
• Problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Written and oral communication.
• Ability to work well in a team.

The range for this position is $59,029.00–$81,165.00, assuming full‑time status. Starting pay is dependent on a variety of factors, including geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
