Overview
Responsibilities- Educator Preparation Administrative Support (50%)
- Serve as the first point of contact for the office; develop and maintain office system tutorials in support of staff and students in the unit.
- Develop and maintain the student teaching calendar in collaboration with faculty.
- Educator Preparation Resource Center: update print and digital materials on a consistent basis.
- Support 200 matriculated students and their faculty in 17 certification areas as the first point of contact; respond to compliance requirements from state agencies; provide helpdesk support for users of the assessment system related to Admission to the program; execute tasks to ensure data integrity for accreditation compliance.
- Manage budget elements through processing of cooperating teacher payments, office purchases, and tracking and recording of criminal record check requirements.
- Use multiple databases for information queries (Colleague, Workday, Microsoft Office Suite, Destiny One).
- Budget management and payment facilitation.
- Cooperating Professional payments: originate, reconcile, process, and record payments; administer payments for approximately 240 cooperating professionals (graduate and undergraduate) per year; communicate with cooperating teachers and collaborate with Accounts Payable, Procurement, Payroll, Human Resources to process payments; review documentation for accuracy and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with the Assessment and Accreditation Analyst to confirm submission of clinical assessments by clinical educators at mid-point and final each semester; document submissions and send follow-up communications to those who have not submitted.
- Student Admission and criminal record check payments: track and record requirements; review payment documentation and ensure accuracy; interface with students and state data systems (NH Department of Safety, USNH Procurement).
- Information management and compliance: manage and update admissions applications for entry into the Educator Preparation program; verify student data (GPA, testing status) for eligibility; interpret and convey information regarding progression through the credentialing program; administer background checks at Admission; identify students needing checks; communicate with students and school sites; reconcile payments and paperwork; use multiple databases (Colleague, Workday, Destiny One, Access).
- Constituent Support: provide helpdesk support for students and faculty using the assessment system for Admission and for state-required processes (criminal background checks).
- Design and provide instructions for student submissions of application materials; communicate with faculty to facilitate admission review; conduct communications with school districts regarding background check compliance.
- Respond to inquiries from faculty, students, and cooperating professionals in person, by phone, and by email.
- Use multiple databases for information queries (Colleague, Workday, Destiny One; Webi; USHOP; 25
Live; Educator Preparation databases and Assessment system). - Other duties as assigned.
Academic Department Administrative Support (Education 20% and Nursing 30%)
- Serve as the first point of contact for email and phone inquiries regarding Nursing and Education Program Admission and Requirements.
- Generate Webi reports to determine academic eligibility for Education courses; provide contextual information to faculty; administer deregistration as instructed; meet quarterly with faculty to ensure reporting needs are met.
