Teaching Assistant INHLSC 175 Essentials of Nutrition Science (was PH 175 when this job description was written)
Estimated hours per week: Average 7 hours for 15 weeks
Estimated hours per semester: 105 hours
Estimated hours per academic year: 210 hours
Job Duties- Grading of the diet analysis projects throughout the semester. Approximately 43 students will submit assignments weekly. The Teaching Assistant is responsible for grading all 43, averaging approximately 8 hours of grading per week, estimating 10 minutes per assignment (approximately 120 hours per semester).
- Prepare and teach a 1-2 hour content review session for students before the mid-term exam and final exam. Estimated teaching time per semester is 4 hours. Estimated preparation time for each review session is 4 hours (approximately 8 hours per semester).
- Assist in proctoring Mid-term and Final Exams (approximately 6 hours per semester).
