Job Title: Mechanical CAD Technician
Location: Keene, NH
Duration: 6+ Months (Onsite)
Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Mechanical CAD Technician to support engineering and drafting activities for new and existing products. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience creating high‑quality 2D/3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using Solid Works or similar CAD tools. You will work closely with engineers, manufacturing teams, and configuration management to ensure accurate documentation and support ongoing product development efforts.
Responsibilities:- Create and update 2D and 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using Solid Works (or other CAD tools as needed).
- Collaborate with engineers to translate conceptual designs into accurate technical documentation.
- Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and update drawings, models, and product documentation.
- Ensure all drawings comply with internal drafting standards, GD&T practices, and industry requirements.
- Maintain drawing databases and assist with configuration management activities.
- Provide drafting support for prototype builds, design reviews, and manufacturing/assembly teams.
- Assist with documentation for new product development and sustaining engineering activities.
- Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Solid Works or similar CAD software for modeling and drafting.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and mechanical design fundamentals.
- Experience with PDM systems (e.g., Solid Works PDM) preferred.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
- Prior experience in a precision manufacturing or high‑tech engineering environment strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and best practices for technical documentation.
