ED Paramedic - Intercept (Per Diem)
Location:
Dartmouth Health, Keene, NH.
The ED Paramedic will staff the paramedic intercept vehicle and the emergency department, providing advanced life support services via 911 calls and performing bedside care such as cardiac monitoring, airway management, phlebotomy, IV therapy, medication administration, splinting, crutch fitting, suturing, vital signs, and patient discharges.
Base Pay Range$29.22/hr - $45.29/hr
Responsibilities- Provide Advanced Life Support level services to the community by responding to 911 calls.
- Implement State of NH patient treatment protocols as appropriate.
- Collate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and achieve desired outcomes.
- Perform ED tasks: assessments, cardiac monitoring, O2 therapy, airway management, EKGs, phlebotomy, IV therapy, medication administration, splinting, crutch fitting, suture setup, vital sign measurement, and patient discharges.
- High School Diploma or GED;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. - 3-5 years of providing 911 service at the paramedic level; CCP-C preferred.
- Nationally Registered Paramedic – NH state license within 30 days of hire.
- CPR certified on hire; ACLS/PALS within 90 days (American Heart Association required).
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
- Minimum Pay: $29.22/hr
- Maximum Pay: $45.29/hr
