Position Summary
Pharmacy Technicians at CVS Health deliver compassionate care to millions of patients daily. They are responsible for managing assigned pharmacy workstations, ensuring all medication needs and compliance standards are met, and providing caring service that exceeds customer expectations.
Responsibilities- Support the pharmacy team in promptly, safely and accurately filling patient prescriptions.
- Maintain ethical conduct and patient confidentiality at all times.
- Comply with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice.
- Manage pharmacy workstations and tasks to support continuous operation of the pharmacy.
- Complete the CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all state registration, licensing and certification requirements.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Licensure requirements vary by state.
- Attention and Focus – ability to concentrate on a task over time without distraction.
- Customer Service Orientation – actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner.
- Communication Skills – use verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues; actively listen and respond appropriately.
- Mathematical Reasoning – ability to use math to solve problems such as calculating a prescription’s day’s supply.
- Problem Resolution – recognize problems and choose the best course of action in complex situations.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical or customer service setting.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- PTCB National Certification.
- Remaining upright on feet for sustained periods.
- Moving on foot between work areas.
- Working primarily with fingers, excluding whole hand or arm use.
- Extending, bending, and stooping to a considerable degree.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Visual acuity required for reading and inspecting small parts.
High School Diploma or Equivalent – Preferred but not required.
CompensationThe pay range for this role is $16.50 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience, education, geography and other factors.
