We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Executive Sous Chef to join the leadership team and help guide our kitchen to continued excellence and profitability.

Position Overview:
The Executive Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency. This leader will contribute to menu development, uphold culinary excellence rooted in Italian cuisine, and help manage a high-performing kitchen team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong track record of running profitable, well-organized kitchens.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, staff supervision, and culinary direction.
  • Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive, professional, and growth-oriented work culture.
  • Maintain exceptional culinary standards with a strong emphasis on authentic Italian cuisine.
  • Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal specials, and ensure consistency across all dishes.
  • Oversee food prep, station organization, and service execution during peak hours.
  • Manage inventory, food ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-efficiency and minimal waste.
  • Monitor food and labor costs to maintain a profitable kitchen without compromising quality.
  • Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with state and local regulations.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar leadership role in an upscale or fine-dining environment.
  • Strong culinary expertise, particularly in Italian cuisine.
  • Proven ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently and profitably.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Serv Safe or equivalent food safety certification preferred.
