Senior Accountant/Client Manager

Proactive Personnel are recruiting for a Senior Accountant/Client Manager, on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice in Cross Hills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts preparation, ranging from sole traders to Partnerships and Limited Companies, with the opportunity for future progression/manager level for the right candidate.

Hours:

Mon-Fri 9am – 5:00pm.

Salary: £35K - £50K DOE.

Key Duties Include but not limited to:

* Accounts preparation from both incomplete records and computerised records

* Company and personal tax return preparation

* Managing own portfolio (manager role)

* Reviewing work of other employees

* Liaising with clients on all accounting matters

* Other ad-hoc projects as they arise

Skills Required:

* ACA or ACCA qualified. Will consider QBE but must have minimum of 3 years practice experience.

* A minimum of 3 years recent experience within a UK based, qualified firm of accountants is desirable

* Management accounts experience desirable

* Excellent working knowledge of accounts preparation for a range of businesses including Sole Traders, Ltd Companies and Partnerships, including LLPs

* Ability to prepare accounts to a high standard

* Ability to use own initiative, to work under pressure and to deadlines

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* Excellent attention to detail

* A good working knowledge of accounting software, preferably CCH, Sage and Xero.

* A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and word is essential
