Senior Accountant

We are looking for a senior accountant to join our client's team in a permanent, office-based role in Cross Hills, BD20 7AA
. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts preparation, ranging from sole traders to Partnerships and Limited Companies, with the opportunity for future progression/manager level for the right candidate.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

• Accounts preparation from both incomplete records and computerised records
• Company and personal tax return preparation
• Managing own portfolio (manager role)
• Reviewing work of other employees
• Liaising with clients on all accounting matters
• Other ad-hoc projects as they arise

Skills required

• ACA or ACCA qualified. Will consider QBE but must have minimum of 3 years UK-based accountancy practice experience.
• Management accounts experience desirable
• Excellent working knowledge of accounts preparation for a range of businesses including Sole Traders, Ltd Companies and Partnerships, including LLPs
• Ability to prepare accounts to a high standard
• Ability to use own initiative, to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A good working knowledge of accounting software, preferably CCH, Sage and Xero.
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and word is essential

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop their skills within a smaller company receiving a varied range of work and gaining experience in all company matters. The right candidate will have the opportunity to move to a manager role within the firm if proven.

This is an office-based position, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
