Position Overview

This post is designed to allow expansion of our middle grade tier to meet the increasing demand our Neurology Department, like many others, is facing. We hope the posts will attract Neurology Doctors with the following backgrounds:

Post‑holders will be eligible for up to 10 days of study leave per year plus study budget.

Non‑clinical time is included in the weekly rota.

As a member of our middle grade tier, each post holder will be expected to work an average of 10 PAs per week Monday‑Friday (0900‑1700) but flexible working patterns will be considered.

In pursuing these duties, the post holder will ensure compliance with the NHS Constitution and be familiar with the NHS England Guidance 'Understanding the new NHS'.

The post is based in the Neurology Department at Airedale General Hospital.

The post holder/s will be responsible to the Neurology consultants and will be expected to, Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is an award winning integrated Trust, set in a beautiful location providing genuine opportunities for a great work‑life balance.

We provide high quality, personalised, acute, elective and specialist and community care for a population of over 250,000 people across West and North Yorkshire and East Lancashire in an area extending from the fringes of north Bradford to parts of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Our main hospital site is Airedale Hospital, near Keighley and we also provide services from community hospitals - Castle berg Hospital, near Settle, Coronation Hospital in Ilkley and Skipton Hospital - as well as local health centres and General Practices (GPs). Over the past few years, we have received a number of accolades for patient safety and our quality of care and the Trust has also been named as one of the top 40 hospitals by CHKS, an independent provider of healthcare intelligence and quality improvement services, on three occasions.
