UPS Service Engineer

Within a 50-mile radius north of Northampton Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 DOE  door-to-door pay  Overtime  Vehicle OTE £50,000-£55,000

Full-time. Permanent Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays A well-established critical power specialist is looking to add a UPS Engineer to its field service team. This is a hands-on role covering installation, commissioning, service, maintenance, and fault finding on UPS systems and associated critical power equipment across customer sites.

The Role Service, maintain, fault-find, and repair UPS systems, batteries, switch gear, controls, and associated electrical equipment Carry out installations and commissioning of UPS and battery systems Perform load bank testing, site surveys, inspections, and investigations Provide breakdown response and technical support to customers Complete service reports, test documentation, and risk assessments accurately and on time Participate in an on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours work Liaise with internal teams and identify additional service or upgrade opportunities Requirements Experience working with UPS and critical power systems Strong electrical fault-finding and commissioning capability Comfortable working independently on customer sites Professional customer-facing approach with strong reporting discipline Willingness to travel within the regional patch and take part in on-call duties This role suits an experienced UPS or critical power engineer looking for a stable, long-term position with a manageable regional area and clear technical focus.
