The Role We are recruiting for a Counters Assembler/Installer to form part of our contracts specials team. As part of Victors product offering, we manufacture and install fully bespoke, manufactured to order food service counters and shop fitting projects. These products are manufactured at our Keighley base before being tested and commissioned then split down and taken to site to be installed by the same team of operatives.
This role will consist of in-house training by our experienced Installation Engineers at our Keighley site for a period 12-18 months, with opportunities to assist on site installations when required. This role requires periods of time spent in the factory followed by installation works off-site, often requiring the candidate to work away on site typically for periods of between 1 night to 1 week.
Early starts and late finishes are required on occasions to meet business needs and therefore flexibility and reliability is essential. The Candidate The role requires a familiarity with a broad range of skill sets such as but not limited to:
Fabrication/sheet metal assembly work Joinery Basic wiring competency. The candidate must be career focused, reliable, flexible and seeking a long-term career within a well-established company in which they can grow and progress. Attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines is essential. Full UK drivers license Essential Willingness to work unsociable hours, with nights away Essential Positive Attitude and good reliability Essential NVQ/CITB qualifications in related areas (Joinery, Fabrication, Electrical work) - Desirable CSCS card - Desirable Hours of Work 6:00am 2:30pm (Mon-Thurs) 6:00am 1:30pm (Fridays) (39 standard hours per week) This role will often require 39 hours a week, unsociable hours and some overnight stays Benefits 33 Holiday days per year (Including Bank Holidays) Pay and role progression for the right candidate Death in Service Scheme Increased rates for overtime Overnight Allowance Opportunities for fully funded training when and where required
