Overview

Staff Nurse – Turner Memorial Hospital, Keith.

Hours:

33 hours per week.

We are recruiting for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to a 16‑bed in-patient unit, with elective day case, within the Community Hospital in Keith. The workload and patient groups are diverse and will provide opportunities to develop knowledge and skills relevant to Community Hospital Nursing. Full support is given with professional development; the Practice Education Team in Dr Grays Hospital provide support to staff within the Community Hospital setting.

You will have the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, who are all committed to delivering high quality, safe, person centred care.

Responsibilities
  • Care for patients in a 16‑bed in-patient unit with elective day case activity.
  • Participate in rehabilitation and discharge planning for patients post-stroke and following orthopaedic surgery; support re‑enablement of frail patients prior to discharge.
  • Care for patients with end of life and palliative conditions, as well as elective day case admissions for IV antibiotic therapy and patients requiring blood transfusions.
  • Contribute to high‑quality, safe, person‑centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Community Hospital setting.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development with support from the Practice Education Team.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (NMC) with current validity to practice.
  • Band 5 Nurse; experience in community or hospital settings desirable.
