Manager, Maintenance/Environmental Services

Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Keller, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, is seeking a full‑time exempt Manager of Maintenance/Environmental Services.

Under the oversight of the Director of Plant Operations, manage daily facilities operations for the hospital, including maintenance of the physical plant, grounds, and equipment; facilities management and engineering; loss prevention; telecommunications; and hospital‑wide safety. Establish and monitor policies, preventive maintenance programs, and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Serve as Safety Officer and coordinate emergency response and corrective actions.

• Properly hire, orient, train, evaluate and discipline housekeeping personnel within established policy.
• Schedule personnel to ensure proper coverage of the hospital.
• Serve on the hospital Safety Committee and Hazardous Materials and Waste Subcommittee.
• Participate in information management, performance improvement and infection control programs.
• Ensure compliance with CIHQ, federal, state and local regulations and standards.
• Prepare and submit reports as requested by Administration.
• Report any malfunctions and maintenance problems; perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs as needed.
• Work with vendors to ensure correct supplies and supply levels as well as services.

• Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four‑year college or university preferred, or at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Utility systems management; hospital operations and Joint Commission/CIHQ preparedness (preferred).
• Effective English communication (verbal and written); basic computer proficiency; organization, supervision, and problem‑solving; ability to balance multiple priorities and make timely decisions.
