LVN (Inpatient) – PRN Nights
Employer: Emerus Holdings, Inc.
Location: Keller, TX (White Settlement, TX has rates $35-$50/hr)
Shift: Night Shift (7 pm‑7 am)
Job Type: PRN – New rates available.
Facility: 16-bed small-format hospital (8 ER beds, 8 inpatient beds).
Position OverviewThe licensed vocational nurse (LVN) is responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and focused nursing care to assigned patients with predictable health‑care needs. The LVN works under direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN) and assists in carrying out the patient’s plan of care in accordance with the state’s nurse practice act.
Essential Job Functions- Provides safe, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients as directed by the RN and the patient’s plan of care.
- Performs responsibilities that promote quality and safe patient care and excellent customer service.
- Completes accurate and timely documentation reflecting the plan of care.
- Completes focused patient assessments as defined by the state’s nurse practice act and organizational policies.
- Administers medications in accordance with organization policies.
- Reports data to assist in identifying problems and formulating goals/outcomes and patient‑centered plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to assist in planning, delivery, and coordination of patient‑centered care.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Adheres to required infection control, isolation procedures, and aseptic techniques.
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times.
- Attend staff meetings or other company‑sponsored or mandated meetings as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D and graduation from an approved licensed practical nurse/vocational nurse (LPN/LVN) program. - Experience:
Two years of relevant experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in an acute‑care setting. - Certification/License:
Current state license as LVN or LPN;
Current BLS & ACLS certification from the American Heart Association;
Pedagogy IV Certification Course completed within 30 days of hire. - Fluency in English, both written and oral.
