Creekside Pet Care Center is looking for experienced Veterinary Technicians for our 24/7 busy 10 doctor, AAHA accredited veterinary clinic. This is a Part‑Time position.

About Creekside Pet Care Center

Creekside Pet Care Center, part of the Suveto network of hospitals, is a full-service 24/7 veterinary hospital with onsite grooming, daycare, and boarding services. We are located in the Keller/Southlake area of the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex and have been a local go‑to veterinary clinic for 20 years. Our veterinary services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a state‑of‑the‑art emergency care facility.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist in appointments with doctors.
  • Take history from client, perform physical assessments, and record observations legibly in medical record.
  • Educate clients on preventative healthcare recommendations and provide follow‑up.
  • Communicate any patient or client concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Perform venipuncture, collect blood samples, perform in‑house laboratory tests, and prepare all forms to be sent to outside labs; call owner with results as requested by veterinarian.
  • Provide and monitor all nursing care as requested by veterinarian for patients admitted to hospital, including medications (all routes) and monitoring.
  • Admit and discharge patients to hospital by following all admission and discharge protocols; educate clients on admit/discharge.
  • Clean and restock exam rooms, treatment areas, hospital wards and other areas as requested.
  • Must have proficient knowledge of practice software for dispensing veterinarian‑approved medication, patient food, printing treatment sheets, discharge instructions, cage card labels, x‑ray and lab labels, recording communication with client and doctors, and others as directed by veterinarian.
  • Must have clear understanding and enforcement of OSHA regulations and hospital safety standards.
  • Perform diagnostic imaging as requested by veterinarian.
  • Perform tech appointments such as pedicures, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, routine lab work, subcutaneous fluids, etc. as deemed appropriate by practice.
  • Assist doctors in medical and diagnostic procedures.
  • Place IV catheters and begin fluid therapy when required by veterinarian.
  • Assist in induction and maintenance of general anesthesia with doctor present.
  • Assist in operating room, recovery, and post‑op nursing care as requested by veterinarian.
  • Perform client callbacks and updates as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

High School Diploma (or equivalent).

  • At least 3 years of clinical veterinary hospital experience required, ideally some veterinary technician education.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to new situations.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to act as a team player.
  • Basic veterinary medical terminology required.
