Freight​/Receiving, Retail

The Freight/Receiving role at The Home Depot is responsible for stocking the store and ensuring it is ready for business every day. They load and unload trucks, move material from the receiving area to the sales floor, and may operate forklifts. They help maintain accurate on-hand inventory and pricing for customers. Direct customer interaction is frequently required for some positions, and excellent customer service skills are required.

The Freight/Receiving roles may include Freight Team Associate, Freight Team Lead, Receiving Associate and Receiving Support.

• Ensure the store is stocked and ready for business every day.
• Load and unload trucks and move material from the receiving area to the store floor.
• May operate forklifts as needed and trained.
• Maintain accurate on-hand inventory and pricing for customers.
• Direct customer interaction is frequently required in some positions; provide excellent customer service.

• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Ability to perform stocking and receiving tasks; physical ability as needed.
• Forklift operation knowledge or willingness to learn (training may be provided).
