ABOUT
THE ROLE
The Bookkeeper supports a variety of day‑to‑day financial transactions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable using Quick Books accounting software. The Bookkeeper may also provide support to payroll processing, as needed. The Bookkeeper creates financial reports, and maintains a variety of financial and other records, files and related filing systems.
SCHEDULE
This position is scheduled to work 21 hours per week, working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (9:00 am – 4:30 pm).
UNION
This position requires union membership, under Health Sciences Association (HSA).
WAGE
HSA Grid 10 ($25.95 – $29.76)
BENEFITS
Provided in accordance with the terms of the Collective Agreement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12, plus related post‑secondary courses of up to 2 years including bookkeeping, and basic accounting.
Experience with Quick Books is considered an asset.
Two (2) years recent related experience as a bookkeeper in a non‑profit organization.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate 3rd Party Insurance; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
Ability to work flexible hours and, where required, extended hours to meet operational requirements.
