Senior Accountant – Assurance & Accounting
BDO is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Assurance & Accounting team in our Kamloops, Kelowna, Revelstoke, Salmon Arm, and Vernon offices. The role involves leading audit tasks, preparing year‑end engagements and tax returns, performing audits, and building client relationships.
Responsibilities- Effectively and efficiently handle audit tasks independently or within a team environment.
- Efficiently prepare year‑end engagements and tax returns for clients across a variety of industries.
- Perform audits on a variety of organizations, prepare working papers and financial statements per regulatory standards.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and respond effectively to requests and suggestions.
- Communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.
- Engage in training staff and invest in their professional development.
- Demonstrate BDO's core values of integrity, respect, and collaboration.
- Understand clients' industries, challenges, and opportunities; clients describe you as positive, professional, and delivering high quality work.
- Identify, recommend, and focus on effective service delivery to clients.

- Grow your expertise through learning and professional development.
- Completed CPA designation or actively pursuing it.
- 2‑3 years of audit experience in the public accounting industry.
- Enjoy working with high‑growth, dynamic private and publicly‑listed enterprises.
- Keen to develop further knowledge of the assurance and regulatory requirements of both publicly‑listed entities and private businesses.
- Value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
- Display strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Pay Range: $62,000 – $96,000 per annum.
