As a Senior Accountant, you will prepare financial statements and validate balance sheet accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy. You'll lead projects aimed at system enhancements and process improvements while supporting the corporate accounting team. Mentorship of junior accountants will be a significant aspect of your role, enabling skill development within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly journal entries and financial reports
• Validate balance sheet accounts for financial accuracy
• Spearhead improvements to accounting processes and systems
• Mentor junior and intermediate accountants as required
• Perform ad hoc accounting tasks as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business or commerce with accounting focus
• Professional Accounting designation held or near completion
• Minimum of six years accounting experience, ideally in transportation
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and ERP systems knowledge
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
