Potentia Human Resources is partnering with Doak Shirreff to find a skilled specialist who will enhance accuracy in accounting and payroll functions. In this role, you'll be responsible for payroll administration, handling employee queries, and maintaining trust accounting records. Your proactive approach to managing financial reports and compliance will directly support the firm's operations and culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process payroll and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Prepare year-end T4 and T4A submissions
• Coordinate with HR for employee leave and accruals
• Manage vendor communications and invoice payments
• Prepare detailed financial statements and management reports
Requirements:
• 5+ years of related accounting and payroll experience
• CPA designation preferred; CPP accredited is an asset
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and legislation
• Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
