As the Accountant, you are an integral member of the Finance team, supporting the Controller and broader team in maintaining accurate financial records,reporting, tax compliance, and month-end and year-end processes. The role also involves coordinating with external accountants and auditors and ensuring financial matters are resolved accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare financial statements and reporting according to statutory compliance.

Complete bank and other account reconciliations.

Prepare daily sales summaries.

Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on delinquent accounts.

PrepareGST/PST tax returns and submit government tax remittances.

Post intercompany transactions and ensure all entries and corresponding transactions are entered in the respective entities.

Complete the month end close processes (preparation of journal entries, recurring entries and accruals).

Prepare quarterly reporting and dashboards.

Cashflow reporting and monitoring.

Maintain paper and electronic filing systems to provide accurate records.

Proactively resolve discrepancies and outstanding issues.

This role isperfect for your curious mindset and “interest” in learning the end-to-end flowof our business operations. This position will be based at our offices in  Prospera Place, located in downtown Kelowna.

In a perfect world, you are a chartered professional accountant (CPA), or well on your wayto being one, with at least a few years of hands-on experience in a full cycle accountant role. Advanced MS excel skills, exposure to Microsoft Dynamics,along with experience working with medium to large sized companies, will scoreyou extra credit.
