About Us
Volare Auto is located in the Town of Oliver BC, Canada’s wine capital. The shop has been established at this location since 2006; under new ownership and name change in 2021. Large 4‑bay shop with 6 hoists, up‑to‑date electronic software and diagnostic equipment.

Volare’s primary business is the repair and maintenance of domestic and import vehicles, tire sales and repair, for individual and fleet customers.

Volare is also located within minutes of the Area 27 Motorsports Park. In addition to the personal and commercial vehicle customer base, Volare provides custom track car setup, performance upgrades and maintenance for racing enthusiasts. Membership at Area 27 permits on‑track testing and tuning, access to track days and other events.

Job Opportunity
Volare Auto Group is currently seeking a full‑time (40 hrs/wk) automotive apprentice technician. This is a position which will primarily involve repairing, servicing and maintaining cars and light duty trucks under the supervision of a red seal automotive technician.

General Duties

Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs, including oil changes, brake service, and tire installations with attention to detail and precision

Learn advanced diagnostic and repair techniques under the guidance of experienced technicians

Appropriate and proficient use of shop diagnostic equipment

Follow all safety protocols and guidelines

Assist with diagnosing mechanical issues and recommending repairs

Test vehicles before and after service to ensure quality and safety

Maintain a clean, organized workshop and inventory areas

Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used, and recommendations

Must have a valid BC driver’s license

Requirements

Registered automotive service technician apprentice

Completed at least first‑year automotive program

Strong foundational understanding of automotive mechanics

Detail‑oriented with good time‑management skills

Valid BC driver’s license

Interest in acquiring new skills/technical competencies

Strong communication and customer service skills

Physically capable of performing essential technician duties (standing, lifting up to 50lbs, bending, working under vehicles)

Schedule and Compensation

Schedule:

Full time Monday to Friday (40 hours a week), 8 am start time

Compensation: $19‑$29/hour, depending on years of training completed
