We are seeking a Regional Buyer to join the Purchasing team. This position is entirely on-site and can be based at our Grand Forks, BC or Milton, ON locations.

The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $85,000.

What you will be doing:
  • Collaborating with the factory buyer to stay updated on their tasks and processes to ensure a seamless transition when acting in their capacity.
  • Collaborating with other members of the procurement team to develop the purchasing process and to achieve best possible cost, quality, reliability, continuity and delivery relative to the Total Cost of Ownership.
  • The management of assigned procurement projects, including leading and directing cross functional teams, reviewing specifications and evaluation criteria.
  • Being knowledgeable about company purchasing policies/procedures and continually monitor day‑to‑day activities for compliance.
  • Leading supplier relationship management efforts, fostering positive relationships and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing function.
  • Performing on‑going reviews of product, service, equipment, and expense usage to identify new opportunities for cost savings, optimization and improvement.
  • Handling claims for the regional area in agreement with the Category Manager.
  • Analyzing inventories to enhance flow, reduce waste, and establish appropriate min/max levels.
  • Staying informed about regulatory requirements and sustainability initiatives.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Travelling as necessary.
What you bring:
  • 3-5 years’ Industrial purchasing experience.
  • Post‑secondary education.
  • Computer literate (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of and hands on experience with SAP or any ERP system for material purchases and reporting.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing principles.
