Job Description
We are seeking a Managing Consultant to join our team in Kelowna.
The Managing Consultant’s primary responsibility will be to retain and grow relationships for an assigned block of group benefits clients. They will be committed to understanding our client needs and work in collaboration with supporting teams to unlock opportunities to identify products and solutions that will enhance their benefits journey.
The Managing Consultant will:
Set strategic consulting plan for client relationshipIdentify cross sell opportunities that add value for our clientsReview plan performance and client files to understand the claims experiencePrepare market specifications for clients using both internal and external quoting systemsAnalyze data and multiple carrier proposals, prepare cost comparisons, facilitate finalist presentations as required and make recommendations related to the best option for the clientPerform ad hoc investigations of claims data in order to explain trends to clientWork in collaboration with analyst and underwriting for client renewals, reporting and reviews, and creating commentary that is presented to clientsProvide technical and peer review work for the analysts and other associatesCoordinate new business implementationPrepare documents for client presentations and meet in person to deliver client informationSupport working relationships with Plan Sponsors, Plan Administrators and RepresentativesReach across the organization to leverage expertise and relationships for clients concerns or upsell/cross sell opportunitiesTrack ongoing work, update workflow systems regularly and as necessaryTo be successful as a Managing Consultant with People Corporation, you will need:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) relevant to Commerce or Business AdministrationMinimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in group benefits in a client facing roleUnderstanding of the group benefits industry including funding arrangementsA Life license is requiredA customer service-oriented mindset, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to adapt to a quickly changing environmentTo be self-motivated and able to work independentlyProficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe AcrobatProficiency and comfort working with multi-channel technologyValid driver’s license and consistent access to a vehicleAll-star candidates will have:
Life License (LLQP)2yrs+ experience in the group benefits industry in a client facing roleExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skillsUnderstanding of the group benefits industry including funding arrangementsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to multi-task and prioritize to meet client and internal needsExcellent reasoning, judgment and decision-making abilitiesGood verbal and conflict resolution skills, and very good written and listening skillsAble to work independently and as part of a teamGBA or CEBS designation considered an assetWhat's in it for you:

Salary Range:
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000. This range only includes the base salary and does not account for other variable compensation components of our total package (such as annual bonuses, commissions, etc.).
