Co-op Student Project Coordinator

Embark on an 8-12 month co-op experience with Bird Construction as a Project Coordinator in Kelowna, BC. Develop essential project management skills while supporting ongoing construction projects.

This position is ideal for students enrolled in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or Construction programs. You will work independently on projects, supported by a Supervisor and Technical Mentor. Responsibilities include coordinating drawings, reviewing trade quotes, and participating in project meetings to ensure quality and timely progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate drawings and work specific scope/trades

• Review trade quotes and verify material quantities

• Participate in project meetings for effective communication

• Conduct deficiency walks and maintain logs

• Update project schedules and monitor productivity

Requirements:

• Enrolled in an engineering or construction program

• Minimum GPA of 3.0

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

• Ability to lead in a changing environment

• Valid work permit for Bird Construction
