Elevate dental care at Kelowna Community Health and Services Centre as a Full-Time Dental Hygienist. This key role involves providing comprehensive oral health services while promoting community dental education.
In this permanent position, you will deliver best practices in dental hygiene, adhering to BCCOHP standards. Your responsibilities encompass clinical duties, initiative-driven community outreach, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to enhance public health. A focus on health promotion and community involvement will be paramount to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform dental health surveys and screenings for community members
• Provide fluoride varnish and preventive materials as per guidelines
• Teach and demonstrate dental health practices in community settings
• Coordinate dental services and represent them on local committees
• Contribute to research projects related to dental hygiene
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Dental Hygiene from a recognized institution
• Current Registered Dental Hygienist status with BCCOHP
• One year of recent dental hygiene experience in community health
• Valid BC driver’s license
• Knowledge of dental care best practices and evidence-based solutions
