EWP Designer Estimator

Join Doman Building Solutions as an EWP Designer Estimator in Kelowna. In this full-time role, you will prepare designs and material lists for engineered wood products using proprietary software.

As a key member of the National Design team, you will create floor design drawings and consult with various stakeholders like architects and engineers.

Your role will involve sizing structural components, providing quotes, and ensuring detailed project documentation. Utilize your expertise in building materials and construction terminology to support internal and external customers effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare professional floor design drawings and material lists

• Consult with builders and architects on project specifications

• Maintain project files and update job-tracking systems

• Size and specify structural components using design software

• Offer technical support and customer assistance when needed

Requirements:

• 2 years of design experience, preferably in engineered wood products

• Proficient in architectural and structural blueprints

• Knowledge of Mitek Sapphire Structure is an asset

• Architectural Technologist training or equivalent is required

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
