Overview
Locum opportunity! PRH is looking to expand its Emergency Medicine group and is seeking certified individuals (Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada Emergency or Certificate of Canadian Family Practitioners - Emergency) to join our collegial team. We have a group of 22 Emergency physicians from diverse backgrounds – including CCFP-EM and FP-EM – supporting an average of 41,000 visits annually.
There is strong specialist support available and double physician coverage for most of the day and evenings. PRH has excellent radiology availability with on-site CT and MRI. We are a Regional Trauma Referral Centre and actively collaborate with the University of British Columbia’s Southern Medical Program, providing opportunities to impact 4th year medical students and Family Practice Residents. The group participates in regularly scheduled accredited journal clubs and simulation sessions in the emergency department.
This is a long-term locum position with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position in the future. The locum timeframe is flexible, with an ideal service of approximately 6–9 months. Apply today to live, work, and play where others only vacation! It s better here!
